“Every soul shall taste death” [3:185]

Death is an inevitable reality that every Muslim should prepare for. At the death of a believer, it is common practice to proclaim the Speech of Allah: “Indeed we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him we will return.” [2:156] This reminder is essential for our soul, as the temptations of the material world keep us distant from the realities of death and the temporary nature of our life in this world.

As residents of the United Kingdom, our death has financial ramifications. If we neglect this reality, these responsibilities must be shouldered by our offspring or loved ones. The current cost of a burial and funeral service can be up to £5000.00. Understandably, these costs can provide financial anxiety as one-off payments at the death of a loved one.

Ujala Foundation’s Bait-ul-Jannah programme is designed to support this much needed service. A membership will cover you and your family (terms and conditions apply) such that the burial and undertaker costs will be covered by the Bait-ul-Jannah programme.
