About The Ujala Foundation

Working hard for the community and making a hugh difference locally.

 

Our mission is to improve health, reduce deprivation, create employment, cohesion and empower communities. We achieve this through the development of a social hub for social enterprises and entrepreneurs and financing sustainable projects.

Ujala Foundation is a non-profit charity organisation based in Slough. Ujala Foundation provides an open and friendly environment for all individuals to learn or relax. All of our facilities are available for everyone; men, women, children and the elderly. We aim to build a united and healthy community, educate one another and encourage a better understanding of cultures and religious tolerance. 

Where we operate

We are currently based in Manor Park Pavillion, Slough, Berkshire, SL2 1NP. The facilities on site cater for people of all ages. From the young to the elderly; youth clubs, after school homework services and elderly programmes are available for both mainstream and tailored for specific community groups education. The centre aims to offer the opportunity to try variety of different activities, allowing our community to get into what they are passionate about and realise their potential.

Our Vision

At Ujala Foundation, we are pleased to have a great community spirit. It is important that we deal with community issues together by working closely with each other in a partnership government bodies & community groups. We encourage members of our community to use the centre as a focal point for community work and are always willing to help.

Our Story

How We Got Started

We officially began our services in 2011 at the Manor Park Community Centre with the assistance of Zulfiqar Ali, Arshad Mehmood and Aqeel Malik. Ujala Foundation registered with the charity commission in 2016.
