Ujala Foundation is committed to offering its community the best services possible. On a weekly basis, the Masjid and Community Centre offer the following activities: Elderly Lunch Club, Ladies Coffee Morning, Ladies Health & Fitness Class, Ujala Walk Group, Youth Club, Weekend School, Quran Classes and Ladies Tajweed Class. To continue this and supply the demand of the community, we need your financial support!

Below are list of costs associated to running the House of Allah.

1. Operational and Maintenance Costs

Utilities: Including electricity, water, central heating, and internet connectivity. Funds required for: Monthly payments for utility bills.

Cleaning and Maintenance: Upkeep of the masjid, including the maintenance of the building, repairing damages, and renovating parts of the masjid when necessary. Funds required for: Repair services, purchasing cleaning supplies, and maintaining furniture and facilities.

2. Staff Salaries

Imams and Scholars: Salaries for the Imam and Scholars who ensure daily activities and services are conducted in addition to the various Islamic classes that are offered to the community. Funds required for: Salary payments for Imams, religious staff, and administrative staff (secretaries, etc.).

Other Staff: Security personnel, maintenance staff, and any other support staff employed at the mosque. Funds required for: Salaries and compensation for other mosque staff.

3. Educational Services and Programmes

Religious Classes (Madrasah/Islamic School): Ujala Foundation offers various educational classes and courses for children and adults, including Quran classes, Hadith studies, and Islamic scholarship programmes. These require the hiring of teachers and purchasing of educational materials. Funds required for: Payment for teachers, textbooks, and educational supplies.

Workshops, Seminars, and Lectures: The masjid regularly organise special programmess like lectures or seminars to educate the community on Islamic principles and other relevant social topics. Funds required for: Organising events, honorarium for guest speakers, promotional materials, etc.

4. Worship and Prayer Services

Prayer Facilities: Ensuring that the masjid has the proper infrastructure and supplies for daily prayers (e.g., prayer mats, carpets, air conditioning, etc.). Funds required for: Carpet replacements, prayer mats, sound systems, or any technical equipment required for prayer services.

5. Community Welfare and Social Services

Zakat and Charity Services: The Masjid welcomes collection and distribution of Zakat (almsgiving) and Sadaqah (voluntary charity). Providing support to the poor, widows, orphans, and other needy members of the community can require funds. Funds required for: Distributing charity, supporting welfare programs, organising food drives, etc.

Funeral Services: Ujala Foundation offers a funeral support plan for its members. Funds are required to support the costs of collection of deceased body, preparation and washing and burial.

6. Ramadan

Ramadan Expenses: During the holy month of Ramadan, Ujala Foundation offer Iftar meals, Taraweeh prayers, and other special events, which require additional funding for food and services. Funds required for: Buying food for Iftar, paying for event setups, additional staff for Ramadan-related services.

7. Upgrading and Expansion Costs

Building Repairs and Renovations: Over time, the masjid may need major repairs or renovations to keep up with the growing number of worshippers or to address issues like aging infrastructure. Funds required for: Large-scale repairs or renovations, upgrading facilities like bathrooms, or expanding prayer halls to accommodate more people.

Expansion of Services: In the foreseeable future the masjid aims to introduce new services or facilities, such as a library, new classrooms, or a community center, this will require additional investment. Funds required for: Expanding and enhancing the mosque building, creating additional prayer spaces, or new community centers.

8. Islamic Literature and Media

Books and Publications: The masjid aims to offer free literature and educational material to its congregation and communities. This may include the Quran, Fardh al-Ayn resources, and other educational materials. Funds required for: Purchasing books, maintaining a library, providing printed materials for the community.

9. Security and Safety Measures

Security Services: Ensuring the safety and security of worshippers and masjid property. This involves installing, and maintaining surveillance cameras and alarms. Funds required for: Security services, alarm systems, and safety equipment and paying subscription fees.

Health and Safety Equipment: Providing essential services to maintain health and safety. Funds required for: Purchasing first aid kits, fire extinguishers, and any required health protocols like sanitizers.
